They are literally silk ribbons (mine are either 3 or 4 m) about 3 in. wide attached to fiberglass wands.
To do gymnastics? That takes education.
To dance with ribbon wands like a middle-aged weirdo who never recognized her dreams of being a gymnast? That just takes a complete lack of ability...at being embarrassed! 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 😂
Congratulations on reaching 100 Subscribers! Your train ride and NYC sounds such fun. I've often fantasied about doing a long train ride just for the sake of sitting in the train and reading/writing!
aww thank you!! And the train ride was SO nice! I'd love to do one through an actually scenic area one day (although this one did have lots of fields and bodies of water so, not bad) but it is SUCH a romantic notion I agree, and the ride honestly went by so fast being able to do that!!
Thanks so much for including me, Angela, and CONGRATS on the 100 subscribers and WIP progress!! Your rom com/women's fiction post sounds super interesting <3
Madeline Mills is the one who inspired me to read it too! 😂 Bunny is the PERFECT October read. I like that!! What are your beachy reads? Or will there be a post about them? I can always use a few more of those!
I'm DYING to talk to you about it now that I'm done with Bunny! It's so divisive I'm curious your thoughts also because I know you loved it and I've been feverishly reading reviews online to see what people did and didn't like and it's so interesting how much overlap there is. People tend to either love or hate the same things but I also feel like the more I read ABOUT it the more things make sense.
Trains are such a romantic notion for me too! I'd love to take an actually scenic train ride one day, but this one was pretty nice for what it was and it went by SO fast being able to just read and write and sip tea. 🖤 The Amtrak trains run across the country but it's definitely one of the perks of being on the East Coast where all the states are super close is that you can get to one from the other pretty quickly and so, the train makes sense! I can't imagine not having it!
The Rom Com vs Women's Fiction thing is definitely on my mind, especially since I still don't really know what mine is 😆
Lol
It's not hard.

You've never seen my fine motor skills at work 🤣🤣🤣
But actually, I like your style. 🤣 I can totally manage that very specific vibe you mention 🤣
I literally just pretend I'm the fairy godmother from Cinderella. All bibbitty boppity flop.

Of course!! and thank you so much!!!
You can buy gymnastic ribbon wands on Amazon. It's what I did while watching them back for Rio when they were first returned as an event!!!
No way! Did you teach yourself?!

And of course!!
That's a great way to put it—that it takes you by the hand with no explanation!! That might be the most concise way I've seen it put!
